>A hiker who was missing for five days was found safe Thursday. Nathan Mitchell was reported missing after he left for a day hike on Saturday. His vehicle was found at the Wildwood Recreation Area.He was found sitting on a log about 100 feet off of the trail, a family member told KATU News.

His parents, Gay and Chuck Mitchell, said he drank water from creeks and did not eat the entire time. They say he passed time by searching for the trail and sleeping.
