Spring mushroom season thread?
After a terribly long winter, morel season is finally upon us! Here I present my find for the day, limited only by how long I could put up with my puny wife whining about how cold it was. She made up for it though by finding the monster morel above the quarter.
On the left are Polyporus Squamosus (Dryad's Saddle) and on the right are your typical yellow morel. Found these in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA.
Still deciding how I want to cook them!
