it's very low res though. like 10km grids in most places, and only about 8% of the earths oceans have been mapped.
i'm not sure what data they use, or how they fill in the unmapped areas.
i know they have some areas mapped in high res, like the moterey submarine canyon.
most people think of the seafloor as flat and featureless but it's actually a lot more dramatic than dry land. and we've barely explored any of it. can only imagine what weird creatures and geographic anomalies are waiting to be discovered.
