a) I own 40 acres of mostly woods in the midwest. Own it, no loan.
b) There is a 16 acre buffer between my land and the nearest road (I have deeded access). I think I will buy that.
c) I have some money put away, say $500k I could get my hands on quickly without tax liability.
d) Currently have a good amount of /out/ gear: 4x4 pickup; Kifaru tp with stove; clothing; hiking gear; fishing gear; rock climbing gear; etc
e) Guns I have too many of but they include super solid hunting shit: super accurate 22LR, light weight tough ass centerfire rifle, SD handgun, bird shotgun, turkey shotgun, etc.
f) Many gallons of high end whiskey laid up
g) Various homesteading stuff: hand tools; power tools; axes; wedges; tree climbing gear; chainsaws; tractor with attachments
h) Reasonable skill at using all this shit
I hate my corporate job. I have been able to delude myself that is wasn't eating my soul but I'm less and less successful at this each day. I feel trapped since I make a shitload of money but I would be willing to give that up to be happy, and I'm thinking now or soon is the time.
I know most of you are neets but is maybe some few of you who are not can wrap your heads around where I am right now and give me some solid advice. I don't want to live in a van but I am thinking I can make a legit go at homesteading. Not wranglercuck style, for real homesteading.
