It started /out/ as a real nice board with a sense of camaraderie but it might be slipping into the usual bad attitude territory. Threads are usually advice based, gear based or good examples of 'it happened to me'. Humor of good quality is often present. We could do with some streams.

I hate to say it but the best time for any board is always within the first few weeks, maybe first few months at best. The most interesting threads always happen when a board is trying to "find its way" and many possibilities are still considered valid. The more the board settles into a routine, the more some idiots become hostile to the idea of fresh ideas invading "their" board and so things start to stagnate and soon we just have one more board full of pointlessly hostile retards repeating the same shit day in and day out.

More like the best part of the outdoor threads from /k/ moved to /out/.
The knife discussion is bushcraft orientated and the gun discussion strictly to do with hunting.
If there was /k/ancer present we'd have zombie loadout threads and OTT preppers stuff (HURR how cun i dstroy nature 4 surveve?).
Only grip is that there could be less innawoods threads with the SAME images posted repeatedly. I'm all up for a good campfire tale, but not for the 47th time.

An item, which at very best is, solely designed to cause damage to something else is silly to oppose?

Not damage as in cutting down a tree mind where use as a weapon would be a secondary purpose.

Also: there is nothing currently that does what a gun does, as well, and as safely for the wielder. To oppose that is foolish. A firearm, whether for hunting or protection, is an excellent tool for that purpose.
