>>1137349First of all good thing for you to be interested in going /out/ but allow me to be a bit harsh, don't take it personally.
Do you have a specific question? We have this kind of thread very often and I honestly do not comprehend what do you guys do not know about going /out/. How sheltered was your upbringing?
>find a cool place /out/side your city that's not too far away>drive/take the bus therethere you go
then you adjust to your goals. day hike?
>dress accordingly to your weather>pack water and a couple snacks maybe a small alcohol stove so you can make some comfy tea. there's no secret to it.
then you start from there, maybe do an overnight camping trip, ride your bike in the woods, build primitive shelters, find a buddy and get into climbing, try fishing and so on.
Most important thing to do is leave your house and go, you can even do urbex shit, it can be pretty cool too. Don't over think/complicate things. Unless you're doing it in the arctic or miles up back country you only need minimal gear- Don't like kiketube shills scare you with a full list of survival gear and other bullshit. Just do it. Really. Have fun.
