this thing is great.

ive stated in the past my buddy me a "wingman" with my name engraved on it for being in his wedding party. it might be "the best" but i would say that or the wave is the most practical. a lot of them seem like overkill. i would feel a few at a store before picking one. the photos on the website dont capture the difference in size.

not sure what your if means but ever since i got it use it to fix doors whenever i feel like the handle, nob, or hinge is too lose. its pretty gratifying fixing peoples doors for them. i even fixed the one in my office building.

i got the old skeletool cx with the serrations.
i was pretty upset at first because i heard it's a bad idea on a 154cm but it grew on me. the serrations eat plastics like crazy.

the move is to not even tell them. Just fix it and have the satisfaction of knowing the next time they go to open the door they are going to have a nice tight opening experience. Also if you spend a lot of time there it makes your life better.

The rebar has everything you need, pliers for your cook pot, an awl and saw for woodwork, can opener for when you find beans left at a lean to or for booze at the trail head, and of course a knife and it's extremely lightweight

Yup. Outside knife is cool, but it's not worth the price difference in the wave. Rebar has all you'll probably need, weighs the least, is easy to slide into a pocket, etc... Same deal with the supertool vs. surge.

I've had my current Wave for more than a decade now, it's my third one. The first one is at the bottom of Lake Pleasant, the second one I broke the pliers tightening a nut, I took it to Home Depot to buy a new one and the tool dept guy took one look at it and called it a defect and just handed me another one on the spot and took the old one to send back. I use a retractable keychain lanyard when I go fishing now, I learned that lesson. The tining I like most is the locking blades and tools. It was a big improvement over the original model
