>>1146668Not at all, it's a very very real thing, but due to the nature of the fruit it's pretty damn hard to find them. They spoil within days and they go from just appearing on the tree to ripe in a matter of weeks. You have to find trees well before pawpaw season then check them at least once a day during the growing season in order to get them before the wild critters do.
They are 100% worth the effort though, everyone should try one before they die.
