but honestly i probably wont do a ton of riding this year since i got two trips already planned for next spring and trying to be wise with the dough.

How long does it take for a guy who never been on skis to learn skiing? Can I learn it by myself or do I need a trainer?

it really depends on how coordinated you are, your prior "experiences," and if you have the board gene.

if you have the dough do two days of private lessons. if you have some natural ability you might be able to comfortably ski bout 60 percent of most "family" resort ranges. another 10 percent will scare you but you will be able to edge down. you have a few seasons before you can roll deep in the glades but thats easily the best part of skiing/riding so its worth it to stick with it.
