>>1143996The Quercy is a comfy place, it's very forested and hilly, nothing mountainous at all but it's a rocky ground. It's not always gently rolling hills, there can be some nice river gorges for instance.
Very pretty but don't expect to be alone in nature like in the Pyrenees. The Quercy and surrounding area are riddled with towns, some among the most beautiful in France so efinitely a place to go if you are also interested in architecture and history
>>1144103No reason to feel sorry, we're still privileged to have part of the Pyrenees unlike 191 other countries, and touch the Alps as well
>>1144011First post best post. Lozère and the Massif Central are much less under the spotlight than the other mountain ranges, especially during winter, and offer top tier sights with a light population density. It's a single range, but with dozens of different landscapes.
Beautiful forests in the Cévennes and Montagne Noire, river gorges and caves in the Causses, rugged peaks in the Sancy, volcanoes in the Puys, wide open spaces in the Aubrac and Cézallier, dry Mediterranean cliffs in Hérault, moorland on the Velay...And much more.
