If you could only have one item in your first aid kit what would it be and why?
My item of choice would have to be a roll of 4" vet tape. It can bandage most things, make splints, wrap sprains, and serve as a self locking tourniquet. As a matter of fact, I find it hard to justify carrying anything else unless I am traveling for multiple days.
