If it’s up north this time of year, you just gut it and hang up the fucker outside, let the cold do the work for you.
Down south where I am, you’d better gut it quickly, and even then you need to get it cold fast. if you don’t, mosquitoes will start to get into it and it will start to rot that day. At best you’ll get 2-3 meals out of it without refrigeration.
