This is just much /out/ as anywhere else. You just have to look at your resources for what they are. It's like halfway between the ocean and land. Just have to explore it a little differently than a traditional forest.

There are various flying hobbies that can be fun; RC, Kite, Drone. Making a kite is really easy and neat. I recommend a dopero kite if the weather isn't all that windy. You can even do KAP with them.

Take up cultivation hobbies - start a garden, keep bees, get chickens, plant fruit trees, etc. In addition, you could put that space to good use if you get into radio, as well - not many people have the space for a full-wavelength antenna farm and wire is cheap.

Basically, radio reception is best when the length of the antenna matches the wavelength of the frequency 1:1 but because the wavelengths in shortwave radio range from ~120m to ~8m a full-wavelength antenna (much less an array) is impractical for most people despite providing excellent results. In addition, RF interference (caused by pretty much every electronic device) degrades the quality of the signal by introducing noise so reception gets better the farther away you are from sources of interference and consequentially you can use more sensitive antennas. A full-wavelength antenna in the middle of a flat field hundreds of yards away (or more) from anything electronic is about as good as it gets as far as radio reception is concerned.

Those little farm ponds can hold some nice bass, bluegill, crappie. Check out your state DNR fish and wildlife site.

Join local chapter of ducks unlimited, pheasants forever or some other conservation organization.

Looks comfy, not a multicultural shit hole.

Take occasional drive to CO or WY for some mountains, scrape off the hippies and come back home. All good desu.

You're in muley and speedgoat country. Bag you some mule deer. Pheasant hunting is great too. Nebraska also has plenty of walleye to be caught. You can try camping out in the prairie and enjoy the huge night sky and take up nature photography. Big sky prairie makes for beautiful photos.

that's too bad
on the other side the river I got this one place about a mile wide maybe 10 miles long that is too wet for agricultural use
lots of the grasses cottonwood and Ash trees
a few other places like that too and no one ever goes out there
