no but my dad and uncle were into it and even had a few pirate radio stations

I have a large amount of radio stuff
pic is not mine but I have 2 radios plus a portable and CBs and a large amount of all the other stuff

How frequently shi they catch pirate stations? I'm considering buying a small fm transmitter and streaming stuff over an unregistered channel in my small college town late at night. What are the chances I get caught and how much of a fine would I have to pay?
