Started at Wolf. I remember how much of a baby sitting program it was. However I decided to still put my all in it and kicked ass in pine car derby, popcorn selling, camping trips and of course the badges. Then come webelos and it got to the point where we were getting our cast iron badge and the scouts’ Mom that was our leader couldn’t even light a match for the fire. No wind or anything. She also didn’t really try to help us earn merit badges outside the required ones but she really pushed her son and one of her friends for it. Then the final straw was when I was the only first year webelos at a camp out. However I did have a good time with the second year webelos and playing king of the hill. But for a good story, we were camping at lake Texoma and my dad and our campsite neighbor’s dad decided to take us fishing and we took this awesome hike and my dad and his dad would point out certain Fish and wildlife species. Sad that one of my best memories is with only one other scout and two non leader adults.
