Belt pouches.
Old USHI ALICE compass pouch for maps and compass, multi tool pouch has an elastic loop that the flashlight goes in, knife goes in a its sheath, ammo goes in one of those Ruski pig skin double stripper clip pouch that you used to get with Mosin Nugnugs. Emergency blanket and fire making stuff go in pockets. This stuff gets shifted to the hip belt and shoulder straps if I have a pack on.

I have an old canvas and leather game/fishing bag I got from my dad a bit like this. Mostly just for really casual stuff and wandering around town.

Might look a bit out of place outside of rural Britain but if it was good enough for Michael Palin it's good enough for me.

I just wear my comfy TNF cargo shorts, and have a lighter, knife, a little string and some snacks in my pocket. Beacon goes on my belt if I'm bothering bring one, I shove one of those dollar store plastic ponchos in the beacon pouch with it, that way if I have no pack I can at least have fire, shelter, rescue and something to nibble on.

They stay in the same pockets they normally reside in. Duh. If they aren't secure already that's probably an issue. Most I do is a Ziploc bag for cellphone. New one is waterproof though so I don't even do that anymore unless I am literally swimming just because of paranoia and lack of faith in magic waterproof electronics.

The one security issue I have is with my keyring. The cellpohone has a grippy back and won't slide out even when hanging upsidedown and why bother with a wallet when you can get one built into your phone. I have looked into key danglers before but have never been able to find one quite to my satisfaction. Anyone have any good experiences with them?

If we are talking general pouches/gear other than backpack then definitely yes. Pic related is version 2.0 of my belt kit.

The Maxpedition Rollypoly MM is a wonderfully compact miscellaneous pouch. The Smart Water bottle carries slightly off center scout style to balance out the weight of my day pouch on the left. It contains a Paracord bundle, roll of 4" vet wrap, a monocular, an XL industrial trash bag, a Sawyer Mini wrapped in duct tape and a spot for either my smoke kit or a small cylinder flask. The quick detach panel doubles as an admin pouch and usually contains a small pad and pencil. Other times a map and compass. I think the Morakniv needs no introduction. The fob is terrible but I made it with scrap one day and haven't felt like replacing it.

Also, a cellphone is a powerful communication tool that can be crucial to survival in an emergency. Don't you remember when cell phones became a commonly carried item? There were tons of news stories about people being saved due to having a cellphone.

It works very well. Weight is distributed along the belt instead of at a single point. Can remove and replace the bottle with no hassle. Core cylinder is a flexible cutting mat from the Dollar Tree. Also used pieces of the mat for the belt loops so that they hold shape and slide nicely. All other material is gorilla tape except for the velcro closure tab.

Sorry guys, it's all packed away because I am moving this week. I will describe it as best as I can
This is my hunting/ exploring set up, rarely do I do any solo overnight with just this stuff and always in the warmer months. No need for fancy mildurp webbing, you can just stick ALICE and MOLLE pouches on a normal belt.

>SAW gunner pouch or old 80s Alice buttpack taking up 5 to 7 o'clock: poncho, extra socks, snacks, whatever goes in here (nothing heavy cause she'll flop)
>knife sheath straddling a belt loop at 3 o'clock
>multitool/ flashlight at 8oclock
>Ruski double ammo pouch straddling a belt loop at 11 o'clock,
>compass pouch at 1 oclock.

As long as you don't load down the butt pack with too much you won't need suspenders. A good leather belt is key for load bearing. I go to a tack shop/ harness maker and have them cut me a belt of harness leather every couple of years.

Seems comfy. I tried to look it up but it's mostly survival/battle belts setups. My fanny pack works ok but I have to carry the water bottle on my hand and there's almost no space for anything other inside.

Like I said, no need for complicated suspenders or battle belt malarkey.
Since it's modular I stick the stuff on my "assault pack" if I'm going to be overnight so as not to interfere with the hip belt. Pretty simple and cheap system that I have been using for years.

I should add that having two loops on a pouch that straddle a belt loop will distribute weight a lot better for heavier items. this will also decrease the life of your belts, which is why I suggest harness leather.

The bigger size is the whole point though, the only shitty thing about the Maxped Proteus was its size did not really allow me to use it for carrying hydration bladders or bottles for refills at the nearest creek. Plus you can also easily use the Foxtrot as a range bag or to bring camera gear for the photofags out there. For murricucks I believe you should also be able to fit pistols or perhaps even an SMG in the Foxtrot for CCW shit. I do not use these as waist packs or fanny packs btw, I always use the fully extended waist belt as a sling. I do see your point though, at that size it might as well be your smaller EDC pack.

Was hesistant to get a waist pack because of the social stigma but took the plunge and haven’t looked back since. It’s stupid convenient and comfy. My edc items are always in the same place regardless of what I’m wearing for the day. Sure people give me crap about it but damn it’s so nice to just have everything in one pack ready to go. I never forget anything and I don’t use the excuse of laziness to not carry an item. I also don’t worry about my firearm being exposed. I find myself carrying it anywhere, regardless of what the law states, because literally no one expects a pistol in my pack. I easy fly under the radar of anyone and everyone. Before I was pretty paranoid of carrying in a no carry location but with this thing? Pfft not a worry in the world.

10/10 definitely recommend.

I’m waiting for someone to release a threaded barrel for it so I can squeeze out some more FPS and maybe run a comp. It already is extremely tame with the recoil but any little bit helps. I was finally able to find an extended _and_ threaded bbl for my gen 1, 17L. Much less holster. That took time, I call it Project: The Longest Glock in the World. There's a stock kit out there to complete it, but that's another stamp, so I'm done. TBQFH I don't shoot it much and migrate the suppressor to my IMI Uzi SBR.

Like I said, I prefer my hobbies to vidya. But do have a TurboGrafix 16 somewhere.

This kinda vaguely military vest seems awesome, can't seem to find anything like it in the states. going to dump a few pics I found in a /fa/ thread.
Some people might suggest a fly fishing vest as a good alternative, but this thing seems neat in its own right, originally and not exactly fedora-tier
