Sup /out/, I'm trying to get better at wilderness skills like trapping, foraging, and fire making. I've been going /out/ my whole life and am totally comfortable in the woods and know how to build a fire, a shelter and stuff like that, but I've always brought food, drinks and other supplies with me for 5 - 6 day back country trips.

What skills should I focus on learning? I have flint and steel and have started fire with them a few times, once in the rain and I'm fairly fuckin proud of that. I'm guessing friction fire should be a priority?

I'm guessing:
>friction fire
>trapping small animals
>identifying trees and plants
>identifying mushrooms
>skinning an animal

I've searched around amazon dot com and shit but haven't been able to find any good guides to identifying trees and plants, and that seems incredibly important. Do you guys know of any good reference books? Anything you can recommend in fine but I'll be practicing in the Northeast US, Pennsylvania and New York.
