So I'm a complete poorfag, but I really want to get /out/ more and maybe find a group of people who dayhike or something so I can get familiar with it, but I feel like I'd look pretty fucking stupid showing up in walmart everything totally unprepared. I can hardly afford transportation to these things. My circumstances may change in the near future as I'm likely to get a sizeable promotion to lower middle class tier, but I can't count on that.

I'm also trapped in a city. I enjoy all the trails and such around here, but the only ones any more interesting than a gentle path are quite literally climbing up 55 degree rocky inclines with a rope... and I'd really like to make /out/ friends. Only tourists visit here
