>>1170247>>1171911I've tackled large complexes like this a few times, here are the best tips I can offer:
- Do research. Prior to your outing, try to learn as much about the building and it's surroundings as you can. This includes:
>floorplans, blueprints, directories>access points>ways in and out that are as concealed as possible>surrounding environment: cams, other buildings, cop shopsTry to take some buds along with you, for your own safety and so you guys can watch eachother's backs.
- When you're ready to go and explore, I recommend you bring:
>flashlight>batteries for said flashlight>bottle o' water>multitool/small toolkit (pliers, wrench, screwdriver)>camera (a nice one, or use your phone cam if you want)Optionals include:
>bolt cutters>crowbar>rappelling kit(only cus I do it all the time and it's fun to do IF YOU KNOW HOW TO DO IT) - wear clothing that is neutral in colour, on the darker side if you plan to go at night. DON'T DRESS UP IN ALL BLACK/COVER YOUR FACE. you'll look like a nog and make people MORE suspicious.
- Choose a good time of day to actually sneak in. I'd say have this planned ahead of time in your prep phase
- Once your in, actually explore! I've gone with people sometimes and they just stand awkwardly in the lobby while I go off exploring nooks and crannies.
- Don't go on rooftops unless you're sure your not obviously visible.
- if you wanna climb/jump onto something, take a minute and make sure you can/ you're up for it. have someone watch you in case you fall
- if you go through a door MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T LOCK BEHIND YOU (speaking from experience here)
- if you're going to take stuff make sure it'll fit in your bag/its not huge and awkward to carry.
- when you're done make sure the coast is clear when you exit. don't loiter outside; make tracks!
And that's pretty much it. Basically be smart, have fun, and don't get caught/slip and fall and die.
