I have 6 days off and want to do a car-camping road trip during that time.

Where would /out/ recommend I go? I'm starting from Red Bluff in Northern California. The only stipulation is that I don't want to spend time in California, I've done everything here.

OP here. I have to admit I haven't, but I've done empigj of Mojave stuff, Death Valley, Joshua Tree, etc.

Take the 101 up the coast north to Washington and drive the “Olympic loop”, there’s some amazing car camping on the Washington coast and the Olympic peninsula isn’t packed with tourists this time of year (make sure to see if the sites you wanna go to are open though some places in the National Park are closed in the winter)

Also I recommend to take a detour and take the 112 all the way west to Neah Bay and camp out there a night if you have the time. It’s the most norwest point of the lower 48 which is pretty neat

But I worked in Klamath Falls and liked going to Crater Lake on the weekends often. If you can try fishing on wizard island do it. Caught some huge slabs of rainbows from the docks on the wiz.
