Got a Tramontina 14in bolo this Christmas; put it to work weeding and mulching my okra patch. Engraved "la creatura" and "56%" on the blade as to name it.

How about Brazilian steel? Tramontina has quality carbon-steel blades, and I'm really enjoying the bolo. Only thing is, the handle seems to come loose after some time (had one of their Latin machetes).

I literally cannot think of a single reason that you shouldn't own at least five of these tramontina cane machetes, other than if you don't have $30 for the five of them. Seriously, these things are fucking incredible. It'll be a pain in the ass to carry it anywhere if not in your hand or in your bag, though. The blade is perfect, thin yet strong enough to not crap out. The hook is great for pulling shit, doing stuff you do with hooks.

Gotta get me one of those, they sell them cheap here in Puerto Rico. Having a bolo, Latin, and cane machete gives you great capability. I wonder if they sell sheaths for the canes, though

Nice! I have a tramontina bolo as well! It's living in a canvas sheath I picked up from a mil surplus store for a few bucks. It's a great knife! I sharpened mine to have the same edge geometry as a mora companion knife. Works well ^__^

My favourite is A 9" billhook I'm getting kydexed. It's made by Brades, England. It has a large comfy handle and a beautiful distal taper from 10mm at the handle, to 3mm at the tip. Wonderful work knife, can't wait to have it back.
