I wish I could get a Burton Love, but they are insanely overpriced on eBay.
A few days ago some guy was selling one for $150 and it got snatched away immediately. What a shame.

My board is the best, I know.

You can't really offer anything that is usefull in snowboarding for 50 bucks, so give a beanie from a brand she like or a gift card. The little pouch you talked about is useless if she rides with a backback, which is required when you go backcountry so I don't even understand the purpose of that piece of gear.

Not true. I bought a 162 CM GNU board with bindings lightly used from a pawn shop today for 50 bucks.

The temperature isn't too much of a problem as long as you don't leave your board wet and it has the potential to thaw and re-freeze in between the bindings and the board. Could also lead to a bit of corrosion as well. If it's dry it's fine though.

Small board shops in the little towns that are up around the mountains are usually a good place to get a lot of good info on getting into it. I don't know if most are open in the off season though. They sometimes offer try before you buy deals too.
I bought my board from a small multi-purpose outdoor sports store in town.
Either way, definitely recommend waiting till summer to buy boards and gear. It's usually all super cheap and on sale in the off season. Got a $400 board + Boots and bindings in the off season, and everything together cost me less than $300.

Depends on what you what to do, your weight, the shape.
I'm 1m79, 85kg, and I ride the aforementioned 159 Nitro Ultimate, because it is very stiff. Before that I had a 162 Pantera and they feel the same. Both were used for freeride and carving.

Tried snowboarding once. Just fell down all the time if I had to turn even just a little. Especially leaning towards my toes made me fall down instantly.
How the fuck do you learn this? Even putting on the snowboard made me sweat, it's damn hard. You just step on the bindings and they're all messed up, all the while trying to keep balance.

You fall until you don't. It is litteraly an epiphany sort of moment. Snowboarding learning curve is terribly high then smooth sailing. Opposite of skiing which you can pick up and then never be good at.

A repair shop will be able to clean up surface damage and fill anything that's deep enough to warrant it. With road its either a stone grind or a quick ride on the belt and it should be all good.

But not much more than there was in the shop shelf in 2009.
I honestly think they're worth $400 minus all the damage that it has suffered throughout the years. It infuriates me that people ask $500-1000 for a banged up board just because it has boobs on it. But of course, the more expensive ones on eBay will never, ever sell. They've probably been up there for a year already.

Back in 2009 some shops refused to sell these boards, so it's not like our oversensitive, modern feminists have just recently made porn on a snowboard a rare sight of the past.
Besides, you can always make your own custom snowboard with any image you want. It's not like Burton had exclusive rights to having tits on a board.

This pisses me off with cellphones, too. You just want that vintage Nokia you used to have as a kid. Nope, eBay has decided it's a $500 vintage rare collectible epic mega amazing piece of art now.
But if you manage to find a seller outside eBay, he asks a reasonable $20. eBay is literally the worst place to buy anything, and people actually use eBay asking prices as a guideline for what something's worth..
