No, I was slower than one of my old friends when we got chased by a bear. Luckily I had my .22 pistol on me and was able to shoot my friend in the knee caps so that he had to stop running.

Its like you want bears to become man eaters again. The only reason people can say you shouldnt be afraid of bears in north america is because they were nearly hunted to extinction and the only ones left alive fled at the sight of a human, doing anything other than standing your ground and killing anything that might attack you is not only a disappointment to the human race, but asking for that bear to stay alive long enough to catch some poor fucker than runs away.

Its just like pepper spray but for bears, its a nonlethal deterrent and its entirely possible for a bear to just be annoyed and not care about it, just like when you use pepper spray against a person.

It also includes all the ways pepper spray can fail, temperature, wind, rain, age, shooting it too early or too late, all those things can diminish its effectiveness up to 100%

It's a superstrong pepper spray that when used correctly completely shuts bears down. They can't see or smell, so they turn around and run away. I'm not gonna stir any more controversy than just the simple suggestion, but with a gun, it's entirely possible to miss. Getting charged by an animal is scary as fuck. Bear spray has a bigger room for error.
