Does anyone here do this? I'm going to be trekking in the Himalayas and wanna keep my face nice and smooth. I've got a safety razor and was thinking of just taking a bottle of oil or something very lightweight.

How would you leather without a brush or bowl? I probably won't wanna carry either of those.

shaving cream is simpler in that regard, Musgo Real is my favourite, excellent foam which just a little rub of the fingers. That said, wanting to be baby smooth while trekking is stupid, same goes for cheating the barber which are cheap and excellent in Nepal.

I don't mind stubble but I don't want to be dealing with a messy itchy beard. Also I doubt we'll come across many barbers in the places we're trekking.

Are you the anon asking about EBC and Annapurna here and on /trv/? You'd be surprised at the facilities on offer. Khumbu and Annapurna regions are very touristic.

Not that guy. Though we are doing Annapurna we'll be doing mainly side-trails so probably won't pass through any towns between Kat and Pokhara. Also we'll be in the Ladakhi Himalayas which have little but farmers and the occasional shop.

I don't even shave while /in/. Also, why is the edge of that guy's knife so sharp that he can shave with it? That's a terrible grind for a knife. I hope he doesn't use it for anything else at all or it won't turn out so great.
