Is it gay to go camping with your mother?

I'm dirt poor and so's my mom. I have a two-person tent that I go camp in sometimes, and recently my mom - who is 65 this year btw - asked if she could use it. When I said sure she looked shy and then asked if I would be too embarrassed to take her because she's scared. She's a real shy quiet sensitive lady and has never had many friends, plus my dad treated her like shit all her life until they divorced. Thing is I can't afford another tent and I don't want to be a gaylord and sleep in the same tent with my mom. I'm unemployed.
