I am going full vanlife in the spring. I will hit national parks and BLM land all over the U.S. And Canada. One thing I can't figure out is how to bake bread with no oven.
Anyone bake bread while camping?

You can make flatbreads easily enough and cook them in a skillet. I guess you could make leavened bread in a dutch oven.

Yeah gee you can mini loaves in an austrian mess kit. Just get your dough, put it in the little silver nesting dish, nest that in the billy, clamp the lid on and leave it on the coals. Usually works a treat because the silver nesting dish has the slots in the sides, so the heat circulates up into the top. Or, and ive been meaning to try this, is make a dough, put some meat and sauce in the centre and put water in the billy and make a steamed pork bun sort of thing doing the same sort of thing.

I live in a trailer, do it everyday. Try a "quick bread" cooked in a frying pan. It's bread made with baking soda instead of yeast. Takes 10mins instead of 3hrs

Aussie here,

We make "damper" when we go camping. Not sure is euros and Americans have damper.
You could probably apply the same cooking process to make bread though.

Make bread mix.
Put in cast iron pot
Bury in embers leave to cook.

Dig out and enjoy.

I'm sure there is a loaf shaped cast iron pot type thing if you want exact bread shape.

Otherwise just make a traditional round loaf.
