Backpack hunting is objectively the most /out/ activity. But its not really a 'sport' in the sense you are talking about probobly (though it of course fits the classic definition of 'sporting').

Skiing is my favorite thing in the world, I go every chance I get.
Unfortunately it hasn't been snowing here so it's all man-made snow on blues and greens unless I go 4 hours north.

Checking in bros, hoping to get into the backcountry this season. Snow's been weak in Tahoe, but it's finally starting to come down. Makes the rain here in the bay all that more /comfy/ desu

Moved to a Switzerland about 2 years back and my wife and I have been out skiing a couple times and done some lessons. Done some green slopes. The thing is, I'm not sure if I like it or not. The actual skiing is good fun, but it's a pretty pricy activity, both monetarily and in terms of time dedicated to it. The other part of it is that I'm genuinely scared that one or both of us are going to end up on a stretcher. Already had one mate shatter his ankle on skis.

Downhill is fun but if you didn't ski up, I'd call it an Alternative Sport. Backcountry XC and ski mountaineering are both pretty /out/.

I once dated a girl who did the whole /Out/ thing and was also into competitive skiing (downhill and x-cntry) her whole life.

Not the prettiest face, but I swear, this girl could practically crack a coconut with her thighs which was pretty bad ass (and 'fun')

We'd cover a lot of ground x-cntry wise to some pretty remote places, but winter camping gets old after awhile.

Too bad she moved away with her family and became a religious nut.
