And as for washing, rinse well, run your hands in some dirt/ash/sand, rinse again, then grab a handful of pine straw if you can find it. Squeeze the bundle of pines straw (or anything pleasant smelling) and roll it all over your palms. Your hands will be clean and they will smell like pine. Carry on as normal.
