How plausible is this? I've thought about it before, but I worry about factors such as being spotted in an area by a ranger or other recreationalist (I would have qualms about killing innocent witnesses), or hunters who hunt in groups large enough that they could figure out what was going on before I was able to take everybody out (3+ people). From there it seems pretty straightforward: Make sure to shave beforehand to avoid leaving DNA, park far away from the area I intend to cover then hike in, make sure to recover bullets and casings, bury the bodies so they are not found quickly, and then gtfo. Honestly seems like one of the easiest ways to kill people and get away with it, and hunting intelligent game just sounds downright satisfying, especially considering the extreme irony factor since they are also trying to seek out and kill unsuspecting creatures. If I ever were to start killing, this is certainly how I'd do it.
