How much is too much when bringing alcohol with you into the woods?

When I go on a overnight trip, I pack no less than 8 bottles. I will just grab what i want at the time from my bar, and fill a pack with bottles.
I usually vehicle camp, but when I go on hikes, I leave them behind.
I prepare no less than three flasks per hike, and at least half of a 700ml bottle of whatever I'll be sipping, usually rum or whisky.
I do mixed drinks in the flasks normally, and tuck them in my jacket.
I just carry the bottle of whisky

Any tips or thoughts?
I'm not sure how to do real camping like this without others, as it's 50lbs in bottles alone.

I usually bring an 8oz flask of 140 proof absinthe.

Delicious and refreshing, with same amount of alcohol as a pint of whiskey. It's meant to be mixed with water, so you get a tall drink out of it even when you only bring a small amount.

I remember getting pissed walking in foggy nothingness for the day. was great. But got to the YHA with really bloodshot eyes from drinking and it being windy... happy days. Which reminds me. Next the BBC/radio local report about how dangerous the outdoors is and how everyone should stay indoors and watch strictly come dancing and suck their thumbs. Then I realize why I have to get out.

Weed is much better IMO, especially for outdoor purposes. I can't smoke right now though, so I've been taking alcohol on my trips. I do beer when I car camp or if I'm only going a short distance from the car. Otherwise I do a bottle of Everclear for maximum weight to drunkenness ratio.

Man I feel you so hard. I can sit on a ridge, watch the sunset, have a few puffs and I'll just sit there for an hour amazed by the pure beauty of nature. If I do that sober I'll get cold after 15 minutes and go to bed, it's not the same thing.

Also it helps me sleep easier on the first few nights of the trip. I don't wake up to animal noises when I go to bed lightly toasted and it helps me get a good night sleep, which improves the trip as a whole.

The flasks I have are 6oz, I got it in a set of three.
I usually prepare drinks in the flasks for certain things like finding a waterfall, or a nice cliff to gaze out from. Just things like that, and I will prepare an appropriate drink to compliment what I'm hoping to find that day.
As for my walkin round bottle, I just grab whatever I want that day and try to grab something half empty. I usually keep it under 80 proof so I don't just get fucked up completely after an hour of sipping.
It's not just general alcoholism in my mind, I more enjoy the drinks themselves than getting drunk.

Not that guy but the sugar in the mixed drink will promote microbial growth in something as hard to wash out thoroughly as a flask. I guess if you're super diligent about cleaning it could be fine. My flask gets nasty residue just from whiskey after awhile.

That only happens to people who are bad at drugs. If you are good at them you can /out/ ten times harder while high than you can while sober. When I'm sober I reach a physical limit where I can't go any farther, but if I do some pcp or lsd I can get right back up and go another 10 miles

Since the battle August of 2016. I remember being on the frontline when the mods kept deleting my threads and I had to make new threads as well as call out mods

I have made a few recipes that have been maturing untouched since August 2016, I will open some of them in August 2020 to see how the flavor developed and post my findings in the pipe thread

As for alcohol while out, a little bit of whiskey with a pipe is very comfy
