You have plenty airports and ferries sure, but if you want any sort of mobility once on the island, you might need a car and moving yours on the ferry or renting one is where the shady fuckery begins with "concurrent" companies agreeing among themselves to hike up the prices. This also becomes a major issue when it comes to fuel as the few local gas station chains engage in that as well.
In general, things are quite expensive, distribution being an issue, add to this the "mob tax" on businesses and you start to get an idea of why things are expensive. that goes for daily stuff as well so if you did not come completely prepared with all your provisions for the entire trip, expect things to cost more than they normally would for a similar trip.
>>1187650>any way to charm them? No. They don't like you. Consicans won't like you, they just won't. It's not because you're a tourist, it's not because your a foreigner or a continental, it's because you're not from "arround here", and "arround here" can be as small as the village you're stopping by. The defensiveness of corsicans isn't just for tourists, they will act the same to people from neighbouring cities.
About the mob in particular, if you go /out/ you won't have problems. Mob activities now mostly have to do with real estate, maritime traffic, smuggling of drugs weapons and occasionally people.

I'd suggest sea-fishing if that's your thing. There are loads of great spots for this as soon as you are a few dozen kilometers away from the larger cities and harbours.
