I'm fine with scraggly beard and over all musk, but I cant stand having my hair turn to absolute shit after 4 days or so
What /out/ grooming/hygiene tips do you guys got? Or should I just buzz myself?

while i'm thankful or my rich full head of hair... my shit grows up and out and if i go too long i have a full on fro and look like a semi ginger light bulb (pic VERY related). I found a barber who knows how to use thinning scissors when he gives me a trim up. so not only to i get it trimmed down tight, i have him run the thinning sheers through my head that really helps delay the process a few weeks.

I've got some long hippie hair that seems like it would really be a pain to deal with while /out/, but I find I'm good for upwards of a week as long as I brush daily and keep it tied back in a pony tail.

I've also heard things about people using those really fine white ashes leftover after a really hot campfire as some kind of dry shampoo. Anybody have experience with that?

Buzz cut for me. Pro's are that the $20 pair of Wahl clippers have lasted me a decade. Downside is hats are now mandatory because a sunburnt scalp sucks worse than sunburns everywhere else but your dick.

One of those dimestore pocket "unbreakable" combs is enough to keep by beard going strong, but I keep it cut pretty short (maybe 3/4" long).
