>>1190540>>1190540>where did I ever say that Netflix had creative input? You're implying that Netflix is the reason the anime existed in the state that it does, which is just factually incorrect. It literally and objectively has nothing to do with Netflix and enitrely was because of Aniplex and Yuasa.
>All I meant was that TV would have to either tone down or censor a lot of what happened in the showYou have obviously never watched anime before. Only scenes with nudity would have needed the generic black bar / beam of light censoring had they aired on a channel that wasn't AT-X, but the anime would have been exactly the same anyway. If you actually watched anime you would know that:
1. There are anime with far more explicit content that air on TV, often uncensored on AT-X (paid tv station). Just last season there was an anime with a fucking rape scene that actually aired quite early at night.
2. Late night anime, like Devilman, air at 12am onwards when no one is even watching fucking TV, so they have a lot more freedom with what they can show.
>I'm saying that the authors knew they could get away with more than they could on TVWatch the other Devil Man series, which aired on tv. Actually watch fucking anime and you will see that there are series much more explicit than this that aired on TV.
>and I don't see how this isn't trueBecause the director literally said it had nothing to do with Netflix and the anime was produced without Netflix being involved in the planning or production. Literally how is this hard for you to understand?
>Why would you think that is me defending NetflixMaybe because you literally refuse to believe it despite it being an objective fact that Netflix had no involvement with the creative process of the series?
