Anyone got experience with the MSR Trailshot?

Trying to decide on a new water filter after I accidentally left mine in my car over the last weeks freezing weather.

My problem is that the (in my opinion) strength of my last filter was also it's weakness - it was integrated into a water bottle meaning I could fill up and purify as I drunk. However, the integrated design was bulky and I didn't like taking it into my sleeping bag to stop freezing. It also didn't have a way of backflushing the filter so I don't want to buy the same again.

I've considered the sawyers mini but put off with slow flow rates. It's also the same cost as the MSR here.
