Europeans had to learn to cultivate land and animals, and prepare long-term for the winter. Europeans lived in close quarters to animals they domesticated themselves. Their traditional gods and religious rituals were focused on nature and the natural order.
Also since Europeans had to form high-trust communities to ensure group survival, altruism had to be passed down genetically. Altruism seems to apply to other living creatures, not just to those within your tribe.
SS Africans basically subsisted and never really learned to cultivate. Their food was always immediate available, and they had no reason to form strong communal bonds or a duty to anything outside of themselves. Wish I could tell you more about their culture before whites started recording it but most didn't even invent a written language or even a damn wheel. Most tribes were barely stone aged.
