unsure on what to get for myself, mostly for work but something of use when I go camping with the dog.

Gerber centee drive looks to be the best. Price isnt an issue, nothing seems to top 200

Leatherman OHT gets a lot of use.
Used it an hour or two ago.

Always been a Gerber fan because of the one-handed opening.

I used to EDC a multitool when I was a janitor. Never saw a reason to have pliers out in the wilderness, unless I was fishing.

I always have SAK Tinker on me.

The screwdrivers and nice thin blade for food, really come in handy

For inna woods, get a saw.
For dealing with kids/dogs get a scissors, much safer than cutting with a knife.
The file can come in handy, when making a fire or dealing with a broken nail.
The screw driver hardly gets used. Too uncomfortable and too few screws that grow on trees.
Most of the times I could replace the pliers with a pair of leather gloves.

is it worth paying twice as much, compared to the wave, just for the S30V blade? (Got my wave for 80 and current price for a charge is ~$160).
For roughly 80 bucks you could probably get a dedicated folder.

Had to send it back once - let a woman borrow it and surprise, it came back broken. Got it back a week later, good as new. Just cost $5 for shipping.

I prefer the Rebar over the Supertool 300 for work environments. The Rebar is basically the same tool, 1/2" or so shorter, but doesn't have the design flaws of the Supertool (missing plier/handle flat springs, tool lock springs too thin; had to return one because it broke).

I like Gerbers too, but I'm not a fan of the carbide cutter inserts. A bit fragile, broken at least two. Never had a problem with LM steel inserts.
