>>1191334I dunno, a good hatchet is a reliable multitool. Most "multitools" are shitty gimmicks wothodd designs incorporated. A hatchet can split firewood, cut deadwood, hammer in stakes and pegs, de-bark trees, and there are many more applications depending on situations. Depending on what outdoors activity you do, either a decent large bellied knife or a folding saw would be good company to the hatchet. Or both.
