Super excited to get my hands on this. My inner-consumer scumfuck is keen as and part of me wants to indulge myself.
My only gripe is that I'm unsure if the user is able to begin a Starting point via the watch WITHOUT a smartphone pairing. I want to be able to use it like my Suunto Traverse Alpha and start GPS tracking, go on my adventure and then use the watch to find my way back.
Having a smartphone to do this seems utterly retarded as I might as well just use that in the first fucking place. So far, from reading all the articles about it and the official wording, it seems a bit muddy as to how the GPS works?
