Was thinking of getting this knife. The reviews ive found online say its pretty good. I know its not a super high end knife but i dont have the money to go out and buy a $150 benchmade what does /out/ think. Should i get it?

What do you do /out/ anon? If you just camp and fuck around having fun then it will be more than enough, for a bob it's probably decent too. If you like to hike long distances I would pick something lighter.

I want to get into bushcrafting but mostly just camping in the woods off logging roads or at camgrounds dont really do much hiking so weight isnt that big of a concern.

Then it's all good, it will do you good. Even if a smaller knife is preferred for wood working that one will get the job done, if you like it and the price is fair then go for it. Or buy a Mora companion, /out/'s entry level recommended blade.

Good knife for the money with all that it comes with, I'd get the SCHF 37 though just because since it's that thick, it may as well be a bit longer too. It's kind of beastly.

I bought some schrade stuff around christmas. Not the best but their stuff is built well. Kinda heavy too. If its 40 bucks or less Id say just go for it. Cant hurt.

Seriously though, that bread knife handle, massive choil, and wonky blade geometry makes the ergos look clunky af. I may shill for mora, but at least they are functional.

The Schrade is fine for the price. It's a budget survival knife that works.

Cheaper Mora's aren't as tough, and the full tang ones are more expensive.

The curve in the handle was likely there from the beginning, a factory defect.

And how does that get past QC? It happens.

It's a chunky cheap chinese chopper knife.

For only a little bit more you can get a bushcraft type knife in a slightly better steel ...for about $50
