I'm working towards a goal of buying land in Maine to homestead on. I want about a third of my land to be forest and the rest to be a clearing. I'm going to grow as much of my own food as I can and maintain my own property. I'm doing the necessary research over a long period of time but I know there are some pieces of info or advice that I will only get from /out/ So what should I know before I even start?
