I've bought 2 flutes online, one from an American vendor and one from Canada, they are wooden and of the native indian american type. It might have been a bit of a compulsive buy, but I really love the idea of getting good at a wind instrument. I just love everything about those sounds.
I still suck at playing them though and I had a sad about it, but

It's silly not to want to be heard playing badly, when practice is what will make you good. I just wish there were empty nature spots closer to where I live, so I could play in secret.
