Just started bicycling, I have spent hours on tyres I want a 700cc 35mm tyre can do 28/32mm

Was thinking schwalbe MARATHON PLUS TOUR or Marathon GT 365, I will be using it for canal paths, gravel,mud,rain sometimes,road so want something thats good on road and off, with puncture protection

The more puncture protection a tire has the slower it is, and while I haven't used it I've heard the Marathon Plus is fairly slow. Unless you live somewhere with lots of goathead thorns or broken glass and you're getting a lot of flats, I'd stick with regular Marathons or an even faster tire, carry a tube, pump, and patch kit, and learn how to fix the occasional flat (it's not hard I've been doing it since I was 8 and since I only get a few flats a year it isn't a big deal.

For mixing dirt, gravel and pavement (and snow as well) I like the Clement X'Plor series (comes in various widths, I have the 35s and 40s), they aren't great in mud though.

Yeah you don't know the rules of the road. Bikes are actually supposed to do that as opposed to letting traffic whiz past them - because that creates a dangerous situation where most drivers aren't even aware the cyclist is there. At red lights cyclists are even supposed to move up to the front of traffic so everyone is aware of who's on the road. You're just spoiled because most cyclists pull over, dangerously or not, to allow traffic to pass them all the time while you sit in your climate-controlled upholstered chair that transports you places.

it depends where you live anon. Where I live it's over $300 fine for riding on the footpath. It's rare to get blitzed by the coppers but if you do they work you up for everything. thank god no. I'm in the states where the police couldn't care less.I don't know if there is a fine, but I've never encountered one. Plus everybody here is conceived, delivered, and raised in a car, so the sidewalks are always open. like maybe a dozen times ever have I encountered a person on the same sidewalk. Even in the States though (where I grew up) it depends where you live! Some towns/cities are quite tough on cyclists being in traffic and not on sidewalks.

If you're going to be doing that much trail/offroad riding you'd be right to go with Marathons, probably the toughest touring tire but it will slow you down a lot keep that in mind.

But if a car comes around a blind turn when passing, the bicyclist is going to eat shit as I merge back over Lmao.
