I don't have experience with the packs, but I use some Fjallraven Keb gaiter pants and the eco-shell jacket I got both at half price which puts it in line with the price of most other gear.
I haven't found pants with similar features; being stretchy yet reinforced in the right areas, zip off, ventilation zips on side, nice big baffled side pockets that open out, and adjustable bottoms. If you show me a pant that has all those, I'm down to know because I didn't find any others. All those features make them useable in almost every climate/situation.
The jacket is way stretchier than gore-tex. Not as abrasion resistant because it's polyester, but it's comparable to goretex pro in breathability and waterproofness, while being comparable to goretex paclite on durability and close on packability. Also has all the bells and whistles like side vents, hood+cuff+hem adjustment, bottom/top opening,
For $100CAD and $300CAD I'd say those are a steal for something that will last 5-10 years easily. I'd like to hear your input though, or recommendations for other brands/gear, as I don't spend much time on this board.
