Anyone have experience with foraging for food along the coast like this guy? I've done some for mussels, but I want to branch out. Anyone have experience with this?

The other anon has a point, if you are taking crabs and lobsters there might be certain statues or laws that apply for harvesting them. I'm sure there is nothing too serious if it's just you alone taking some to eat. Check your local laws just to be safe though.

eh taking lobsters is illegal where i am, but crabbing and fishing just require a fishing license, not hunting. town ordinances vary though.

Yeah I've done a fair old bit living about 5 minutes away from the sea, to the point I've tried out a whole manner of fishing and foraging throughout the years.
>Fishing for macrel and bass off the beach with a rod, gutting and then cooking them over a barbecue.

Regarding the law where I am, provided you don't fish inland and only stick to the coast, you dont need a rod licence and can take what you please yet it's bound to differ elsewhere so don't go by what I say.

Snails are yucky. But I will concede that if you want to drive your local Shiney restaurant out of business just make stir-fries with soy sauce and coke. If you want the experience to be extra-authentic rip your customers off as well.
