I don't see the point.
Down is lightweight and compressible but lose all insulation when wet
Synthetic is heavier, not so compressible but keeps some insulation when wet (and can be washed easier).
Both of these are wind blockers, so you won't need a windshirt - but only in a terrain that has little rain.
Get a down jacket if it's going to be warm (they don't breathe well for hiking, but you'll enjoy it for slow walking and sitting around).
Get a synthetic if it's going to be light showers or just for wearing in camp if it's going to be hot during the day but damp in evenings (again, these don't breathe so well for exercising).
get a fleece if it's going to be extremely humid with downpours (these are cheap, tough and breathe extremely well, and stay warm when wet/dry super quick). The downsides of fleece: marginally heavier and don't block wind at all, so you'll need an extra windshirt, but fleece is the most versatile, bombproof layer of these and makes a great hiking layer, adding breathability to a windshirt too.
A fleece is like wearing the insulation from inside a synthetic or puffy jacket, but it can also get wet and still work fine.
A synthetic or down jacket is like sealing the insulation inside a non-breathable inner and outer layer.
Choose one based on what temperatures, how wet you will get and how much you're going to be exerting yourself (sweat ruins down and makes synthetic half as effective, but does nothing to fleece).
