doing zion trip in mid/late april

ideal trip is as as follows:
Day 1) subway (already have permits for group)
Day 2) Overlook + something random
Day 3) Bryce (peakaboo or fairyland) or Grand Canyon (South Kaibab Trail)

since its April i am worried about the snowpack melt off closing off the subway or even rain.

looking for some back up hikes in the event the water is too high to take the subway or it actually rains.

note: im not doing angles. even the beehive at Acadia scared me.
