Cabin trip with girlfriend

No.1208778 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
So me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to a semi remote cabin in the next coming weeks. I personally have never been to a cabin nor have I actually been camping. Its her fathers cabin so we know details about the land and whatnot. No power just "running water" for showering/cleaning only. I need some details regarding specifics on what I should bring. So far I really only have though about a cooler but I will need it to keep food cold. Wood has already been drying so no need to worry about stuff like that. What are some necessities one would need for a two week cabin trip. Thus far my progress is
>Quilts and sheets for bedding
> Cooking pans and other cutlery (going to leave at cabin)
> Boots and related gear for hiking/ fun stuff
>candles for lighting
>Getting truck serviced before long trip

Nearest town is 40 minutes away so I figured we could shop for food weekly and keep it in a iced cooler and re stock weekly. Its a 2.5 week trip. There is a space where its semi opened (think cold room) for food stuffs so i'm not to worried about food going bad since its freezing up there.

Any suggestions? This is my first time "roughing it"
