So me and my wife are due for a vacation. We have been a lot of places including your normie vacations. I have a family cabin that is way out in the middle of nowhere and we want to try going off the grid for a little. There isn't cell service out there last I check nor are there very many people (next to 0) this time of year. We have been out but for short bursts so we understand the basics of that. What kind of things are often overlooked when going completely off the grid? Figured here would be a good place to as since /out/. Without giving too much away its literally in a forest and will often be snowed in. A river is nearby on the land and I have decent skills in regards to food. Trip should last 6 months at least that is our goal. Civilization is accessible but like I said the snow will make it harder.
