Gents, going with my buddy in a few weeks to icehouse canyon. Conditions are some snow and ice. I’m a desert fag and have little to no experience in this kind of environment. I know to dress warm but what other considerations should I be aware of?

I am considering getting some micro spikes or crampon type things so I don’t slip. Pic related.
