I live in Salt Lake City. I'm 5'7" and weigh 160 w/ backpack.
I've narrowed down my choice to two snowshoes:
MSR Lightning Ascent
amazon.com/MSR-Ultralight-All-Terrain-Mountaineering-Backcountry/dp/B074R82378/ref=dp_ob_title_sports?th=1
Louis Garneau Versant
rei.com/product/123373/louis-garneau-blizzard-ii-snowshoes-mens?cm_mmc=aff_AL-_-34947-_-46631-_-NA&avad=46631_e112ddb0d&CA_6C15C=120217890004418104
If I went with the Versant I would get 25". I'm not sure if I would get the Ascent in 25" or 30"
Versant's binding seems quicker to attach/detach. Ascent is narrower and seems like a more comfortable stride, but I'm concerned about postholing in Utah's powdery snow.
The prices are comparable.
Thoughts?
